UFC on FOX 11 took place April 19, 2014 at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida. Top-3 ranked heavyweight contenders Travis Browne (16-2-1) and Fabricio Werdum (18-5-1) battled for the right to challenge for the UFC heavyweight title in the night's main event, which aired live on FOX. Round 1: The referee in charge of the action is John McCarthy. Both fighters open orthodox. Outside leg kick from Browne and a right from Werdum grazes him. Head kick from Browne misses. They clinch, but Browne disengages. Right hand scores for Browne and another and Werdum is in trouble. Werdum trying to roll for deep half and they both stand. As they do, Werdum is on top on a double leg bomb of a takedown. Werdum is half guard. Browne tries to stand and does. Two front kicks now for Browne. Hard middle kick from Werdum scores the mark and a right hand finds the mark as well. Then a leg kick and again. Wheel kick for Browne lands, but is blocked. Werdum with another outside leg kick and a rear uppercut. Right hand from Werdum lands, then a left just as the bell sounds.

Round 2: Outside leg kick from Werdum to start the frame. Then an inside leg kick from Werdum. Werdum and Browne exchange, both landing, but Werdum gets the better by getting behind Browne and driving him to the mat. Werdum passes to side control and is looking for a kimura as Browne rolls to his side, but Browne escapes. They stand and Browne looks exhausted. Browne reaches for a single, but isn't even close.

Round 3: Inside leg kick misses, but Werdum charges with two inside uppercuts and a body shot. Overhand right from Browne misses. Spinning back fist from Werdum and he follows with a series of strikes. Werdum misses with a leg sweep and stands back up. He scores a body kick and another series of strikes. The two clinch and Werdum lands a hard shot from the clinch plus another series of strikes. Werdum misses on a double and a single, but they clinch again. Jumping knee and a jab score for Werdum. Hard body kick from Werdum, but a decent body kick from Browne. Inside kick, right hand from Werdum lands.

Round 4: Two good jabs and two good leg kicks from Werdum. Again, the left outside leg kick-right hand combo lands for Werdum. Unintentional groin shot from Browne temporarily halts the bout, but they're back at it. Werdum can't get the takedown, but lands a good uppercut. Hard right hand scores for Werdum now. Decent overhand right lands for Browne, but the American whiffs on two head kicks.

Round 5: Werdum scores a takedown, but Browne is right back up. Browne is throwing strikes, but Werdum is dodging them, plus landing on Browne with two good straight rights. Stuffed takedown attempt from Werdum. Triple jab followed by a right for Werdum. Werdum lands two hard right hands and somehow Browne is still there. Werdum going ham on combos, landing multiple body strikes with hands and feet. Another crushing right from Werdum. Werdum has a takedown stuffed, but Browne is bloody and missing with just about every strike.
