This is the UFC 170 undercard live blog for the UFC 170 event at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

There will be six fights on the UFC 170 undercard. Alexis Davis vs. Jessica Eye, Raphael Assuncao vs. Pedro Munhoz, Cody Gibson vs. Alamain Sterling, Zach Makovsky vs. Josh Sampo, Rafaello Oliveira vs. Erik Koch, and Ernest Chavez vs. Yosdenis Cedeno will be featured on the prelims.

Ernest Chavez vs. Yosdenis Cedeno
Round 1: Alright folks, first fight of the night. Chris Tognoni is our ref. Let's do this. Cedeno tosses out a few high kicks then lunges inside with an uppercut. Body kick misses for Cedeno but a follow-up low kick connects. Chavez continues to trudge forward then ducks under a wild looping hook. Chavez closes the distance but Cedeno shucks him away. Chavez goes low. Chavez ducks under a spinning wheel kick and wrestles Cedeno to the mat, landing right into side control. Chavez traps Cedeno's left arm and rains down a few blows. Cedeno bucks out, only to get mounted. Cedeno gives up his back and Chavez sinks in both hooks. Cedeno escapes and scrambles to his feet. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Chavez.

Round 2: Cedeno catches a low kick and fires off a straight left. Overhand right from Cedeno misses its mark. Head kick just misses, as Chavez ducks inside and powers Cedeno to the mat. Chavez jumps right into side control. Chavez unloads a few short elbows, tries and fails to leap into mount, then unsuccessfully attempts to take Cedeno's back. None of it works and we're back to our feet, Chavez holding Cedeno against the fence. Tognoni breaks it up. Cedeno connects on a spinning back kick to the midsection. Cedeno falls short with a flurry, and Chavez fires back. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Chavez. (20-18 Chavez)

Round 3: Cedeno circles left and pumps his jab. Chavez looking to close the distance but can't get inside or connect. Chavez continues to stalk forward and eat jabs from Cedeno, who's still circling left. Cedeno ties up but winds up with his back against the fence. The action stalls and Tognoni separates it. Cedeno puts everything he has into a pair of high kicks. The second one landed clean. Good shot. Cedeno starting to open up. Chavez tags Cedeno with a short left hook. Cedeno goes high again. Chavez connects again with the left. Cedeno answers with a flurry, and Chavez muscles him up against the fence. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Cedeno. (29-28 Chavez.)

Rafaello Oliveira vs. Erik Koch

Round 1: Referee Yves Lavigne oversees the action. Oliveira, who most recently got chopped down by Edson Barboza, opens with a low kick. Oliveira trips, recovers then unloads another leg kick. Koch catches Oliveira right on the button with a straight left. Oliveira topples backwards and Koch swarms with punches. Koch just relentless here, most of these shots are landing. And that's it. Lavigne jumps in to save Oliveira. That was a massive amount of unanswered shots. Great lightweight return for Koch.

Zach Makovsky vs. Josh Sampo
Round 1:
Onto the FOX Sports 1 prelims. Chris Tognoni is our referee. Makovsky cracks Sampo with a high kick, then goes low. Sampo responds with his own low kick. Makovsky dives in deep on a single and effortlessly throws Sampo to the mat. Makovsky working from within Sampo's guard. Makovsky stands, then dives into half guard. Sampo wriggles free and reclaims his guard. Makovsky stands again. Sampo uses the moment to try to stand, but Makovsky grabs ahold of that single and retakes top position. It's short lived and we're back to our feet. Quick superman jab from Makovsky. Sampo wades inside and connects with a flurry. Makovsky avoids a Sampo takedown attempt and cracks him with a knee to the body. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Makovsky.

Round 2:
Sampo's corner tells it to their fighter straight: ‘You lost that round. You need to win the next two.' Makovsky easily powers Sampo to the mat, then lets him up. Not a good start. Spinning backfist misses for Makovsky, but the ensuing takedown works like a charm. Makovsky working from half guard. Sampo reclaims his guard and Makovsky stands, then dives back inside. Sampo scrambles to his knees, then to his feet. Outside leg kick lands for Makovsky. Short little uppercut from Makovsky lands flush. Makovsky grazes Sampo with a high kick. Blood is leaking from the bridge of Sampo's nose. Sampo goes for a high kick and misses, then winds up on his back. Makovsky getting these takedowns like clockwork. Round 3:
Makovsky blocks a high kick. Sampo charges forward with a salvo but can't connect on anything. Makovsky just too elusive. Sampo catches Makovsky off balance and pushes him to the floor, then jumps into top position. Makovsky tries to use the cage to stand, but Sampo sees it and scoots him away. Makovsky not letting Sampo get comfortable, and finally he scrambles to his feet. Oh, Makovsky cracks Sampo with a hard counter left. Makovsky ducks under a punch, grabs ahold of a single and turns the corner, settling in half guard. Sampo shrimps away but Makovsky isn't giving him an inch. Desperation time for Sampo. Makovsky works short left hands to the head and body. Sampo scrambles up but eats a knee to the body for his troubles. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Makovsky. (30-27 Makovsky.)

Cody Gibson vs. Aljamain Sterling
Round 1:
Our old friend Herb Dean sees his first action of the night. Matt Serra is hyping Sterling up as the next big thing. Let's see if he can live up to it. Sterling goes high with a few flashy kicks but can't connect. Sterling ties up then throws a knee to the midsection off the break. Gibson closes the distance and latches onto a single. Incredible takedown defense from Sterling. Sterling ducks under a looping shot then rolls and muscles Gibson to the canvas. After a wild scramble, Sterling finally settles inside Gibson's guard. Gibson rolls to his knees and Sterling grabs a front choke. Gibson slowly works to his feet. Sterling eats a few short punches inside the clinch then forces Gibson against the fence. Battle for position here, and Sterling is getting the better of it. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Sterling.

Round 2:
Sterling lunges forward with a combination but can't find his mark. Gibson catches a front kick and misses on his counter. Interesting fight so far. Has a feel like it can end at any second. Gibson ties up and pushes Sterling against the fence, then spins around and takes his back, but briefly. Gibson trips Sterling to the canvas and works from full guard. Sterling is scrambling and scrambling, not letting Gibson get settled. Sterling climbs to his feet and starts to unload a few short punches from inside the clinch. Gibson breaks free, ducks under a spinning backfist, then takes Sterling's back. Sterling stays calm and regains position, then dumps Gibson onto the mat. Gibson clutches a desperation guillotine, but he can't get it. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Gibson. (19-19 overall.)

Round 3:
Gibson blocks a high kick. Sterling goes high again and can't find his mark. Sterling wades inside, changes levels and dumps Gibson on his butt with a double against the fence. Sterling turns the corner and prevents Gibson from using the cage to climb up. Sterling briefly hunts for a d'arce, lets it go, then hunts for another. This one is much, much tighter. Gibson frees his right leg and he's up. Big flurry from Gibson. The two collide in the center of the cage and stand and trade. Sterling either slips or gets popped, but he recovers fast and double legs Gibson to the mat. Sterling working hard body shots from half guard. Sterling transitions to Gibson's back and unloads. Gibson has no answer here. Sterling locks up a body kick. Sterling slithers his right arm underneath Gibson's neck and looks for the RNC. Gibson recognizes it and defends it successfully. Big shots from Sterling to end the round. Solid performance against a game opponent. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Sterling. (29-28 Sterling.)

Raphael Assuncao vs. Pedro Munhoz
Round 1:
Referee Chris Tognoni oversees the action. Tough draw for Munhoz in his debut. Assuncao, who may be next for Barao, stalks forward and unleashes a flurry. Assuncao pops his jab then goes low. Munhoz answers with his own right leg kick. Assuncao continues to stay active from the outside. Spinning back kick to the face is blocked by Munhoz. Assuncao catches a front kick and storms forward. Nothing landing flush so far. Assuncao misses with a hard straight right. Assuncao pumps his jab, looks for a trip, then goes low again. Hard left from Assuncao. Assuncao is just outworking Munhoz right now. Assuncao cracks him with a jab, then launches into a flurry. Munhoz finds a home for a solid low kick. Assuncao continues to pour it on. Wild overhand right misses for Assuncao. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Assuncao.

Round 2:
They touch gloves and we're back. Assuncao continues to work low and mid kicks from the outside. Munhoz connects on a right hand. Assuncao gets Munhoz to the mat and lunges into a hard salvo. Big shots from Assuncao. Munhoz scrambles and retakes his feet, albeit a little worse for the wear. Assuncao loads up on his right hand, then goes high with a kick. Munhoz just doesn't seem to have an answer here. Assuncao slips on a low kick, but recovers in time to throw off a counter flurry. Assuncao catches a kick and dumps Munhoz onto the mat, settling inside his guard. Assuncao postures up and unloads a right hand. Assuncao goes body-head. He's in complete control. Round 3:
Assuncao opens with a combination. Munhoz looking to stalk but he's eating shots anytime he gets within range. Assuncao stays busy but can't connect on anything flush. Munhoz goes up the middle with a front kick, Assuncao answers with a straight right. Assuncao charges forward with a three-punch combination. Front kick misses for Assuncao. Munhoz's left eye is busted up. Assuncao goes back to the one-two, then goes to the body. 90 head strikes to 9, all in Assuncao's favor, according to Fightmetric. Assuncao pulls Munhoz close and uncorks a flurry. Looping left hook lands for Assuncao. Desperation time now. Munhoz just plodding forward, blocking Assuncao's combinations but not firing back. Alexis Davis vs. Jessica Eye
Round 1:
Yves Lavgine is our referee for tonight's final prelim. Davis opens with a low kick. Eye closes the distance and muscles Davis against the fence. Big flurry from Eye off the break. Hard right from Eye, but she eats a front kick for her troubles. We're back against the fence, with Eye pressuring Davis and working short punches to the body. Lavgine breaks it up. Davis clinches and Eye unloads another flurry. Eye hunts for a trip, can't get it, and ends up with her back against the fence. Eye cracks Davis with a right to escape. Spinning attack misses for Davis. Eye eats a left. They trade low kicks. Davis changes levels, grabs a single and turns the corner. Davis unloads a few short elbows from half guard. Close round. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Eye.

Round 2:
Eye circles right and pumps her jab. Davis answers with a low kick. Both fighters trading here. Eye trying to stay active from the outside. Davis gets a single and dumps Eye onto her back, settling in half guard. Davis is stifling right now. Not much action here but Davis is in complete control. Eye eats a few short elbows. Davis runs her right arm across Eye's face and smashes it down. Eye almost gives up her back, then thinks better of it. Eye not really making any attempt to get up. Puzzling. There we go, Eye gives up her back and tries to scramble up, but she can't. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Davis. (19-19 overall.)

Round 3:
Eye pumps her jab and circles. Eye catches a front kick. Davis wades inside with a flurry. Both fighters go over the top with overhand rights. Eye gets the better of it. Davis fires off a stiff jab then connects on a body kick. Eye caught it briefly but couldn't capitalize. Davis eats a jab. Davis closes the distance and Eye rips off a salvo of short hooks. Eye catches another kick. One minute left. Depending on the judging, this one could still be up for grabs. Davis stalks forward but can't connect. Eye back away from a takedown attempt. Now they're starting to turn up the pace. Big exchange. Davis eats another straight shot. That's a ridiculous close round to score. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 Davis. (29-28 Davis.)
