Live Chat: UFC 170 preview, Gilbert Melendez to Bellator, UFC fighter 'uniform' and more

Never a dull moment, is there?

Let's break this wide open. First and foremost, UFC women's bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey returns to action Saturday when she faces fellow Olympian Sara McMann in a bout I completely sympathize with the UFC for making, but ultimately can't get too excited about. Sorry, y'all, but I have a strong suspicion this one is going to be nasty, brutish and short. Still, the event is worth a much larger discussion.

There's also the issue of one of the world's most elite lightweights in Gilbert Melendez using Bellator as a) his now home or b) his place to get paid in his existing home. It's a deft move, one that doesn't really change the larger realities of the sport, but certainly merits more exploration.

We've also run headlong into the issue of fighters and sponsorship again as the new UFC uniforms have reignited debate.

There's a lot going on, so join me today to discuss all of this and more. In terms of today's chat, anything is up for discussion, but I will lead with this and it all kicks off at 1 p.m. ET.

As is customary, I'll post the video window here as the event draws near and I'll answer any questions you may have if you post them in the comments section below. Be sure that you click the 'rec' button for those comments/questions you believe most deserve a response.

Be sure to link this page and use the hashtag #chatwrappers on Twitter or even Facebook when you're watching this to let everyone know you're taking part is this activity of ours.

Talk with you all at 1 p.m. ET.
