Montano, who has won four straight fights, will face Heatherly, who lost his UFC debut this past August, on the main card.

Round 1: John McCarthy is the referee. Chris Heatherly the American interloper here, crowd on Montano's side. Heatherly comes in and tries up top with some strikes, then changes levels and shoots for takedown. He gets it. Now he's trying to advance, but Montano has knee across the body. Now he sinks into Montano's guard, while Montano keeps over hook. Now Montano fishes out an armbar, but Heatherly easily spins out. Nice flurry there as they get back to the feet. Montano spins around, and looks for an opening. Now he takes center. He comes in and Heatherly ducks under, tucks his bulk into Montano's midsection for takedown but can't get it. Now Montano moves in and presses Heatherly on the links, and now he's getting his knees into the action. A couple of good inside knees, and he hurts Heatherly eats a couple of big ones and looks hurt! But he peels out, and fights on. Uppercut by Heatherly lands flush, but he eats one over the top for his effort. Now Heatherly switches tactics, and pulls guard. Now Montano is in his guard, and they scramble. Montano looking for an anaconda choke, but cant' get it, and Heatherly back to his feet. As he goes for a single-leg, Montano lights him up with some big shots. Now they go to the fence, and here come Montano's knees again! Big ones, to the body, and now to the head! Heatherly is in trouble! He is covering up, and Montano lands one last one before McCarthy stops the fight. Big body shot, then a series of — right knee, left knee, right knee, left knee, to the body, the head, to the forearm, to the body — and that was it.
