One of the busiest fight nights in recent memory now has one fewer title fight.
Guillard weighed in at 158.8 Friday for Saturday night's fight in Tampa, nearly four pounds over the championship limit. After coming up at 158.6 in his second attempt, Guillard gave up on the weight cut.
Thus, WSOF officials informed MMAFighting.com that the bout will now be non-title. Additionally, the company also said the Guillard has agreed to a whopping fine of 50 percent of his purse.
Guillard has now missed weight for both of his WSOF fights; his victory of Gesias Cavalcante in July was contested at a 157-pound catchweight.
