The last cable TV fight before a pay-per-view starts is supposed to be the bout which entices last minute buyers to make a purchase.

At UFC 165, though, the gamble isn't likely to pay off. Myles Jury and Mike Ricci put on a snoozer of a lightweight fight at Toronto's Air Canada Centre. Jury took a split decision, getting the better end of two out of three 29-28 judges' cards.

While Ricci showed nothing, Jury was at least able to score enough to win the fight and remain undefeated. The judges score it.

Ricci (8-4) stayed clear of Jury's right hand over the opening round, but that left an opening for a Jury double-leg takedown and slam toward the end of the round, which likely sealed it in his favor.

Ricci was able to hold off Jury in round two, which likely earned him the round on the judges' scorecards. But in round three, Jury (12-0) took Ricci down early and kept him there for most of the round, sealing the less-than-thrilling win.

Jury improved to 5-0 in the UFC, while Ricci, the TUF 16 welterweight finalist, lost for the second time in his past three fights.
