Edimilson Souza replaces Sam Sicilia, will fight Felipe Arantes at UFC Fight Night 28

UFC’s next show in Brazil has suffered another change, and that meant good news for Jungle Fight featherweight champion Edimilson Souza, who is the new addition to the 145-pound division.

Sam Sicilia was forced to leave the card for undisclosed reasons, and Souza got the call to replace him against Felipe "Sertanejo" Arantes on Sept. 4 in Belo Horizonte, Brazil, at UFC Fight Night 28. Thiago Tavares, Souza’s manager and trainer, confirmed the change to first reported the news.

After suffering a loss in his UFC debut to Yuri Alcantara, "Sertanejo" went 2-0-1 inside the Octagon with wins over Antonio Carvalho and Godofredo Pepey. Souza, who is 13-3 in MMA, makes his UFC debut riding a 7-fight win streak, all victories by knockout.
