If Demetrious Johnson at all needed to make a statement, he did so on Saturday night. Headlining his second straight UFC on FOX show, the reigning UFC flyweight champion dismantled John Moraga over the course of 24 minutes, completing 12-of-12 takedowns and landing 71-percent of his significant strikes, before beautifully transitioning from a kimura into a textbook armbar to cement the first finish of his UFC career.
From Johnson's dramatic title defense and Robbie Lawler's ruthless return, to the co-main event that left UFC President Dana White shaking his head, there was plenty to discuss at UFC on FOX 8, and as usual, a slew of pros couldn't help but join in on the conversation.
