One of the UFC's biggest sponsors isn't going anywhere.

After wireless carriers T-Mobile and MetroPCS finalized their much-discussed merger on Wednesday, which will soon give birth to the new T-Mobile US, some wondered what this would mean for MetroPCS' sponsorship deal with the UFC.

The answer? It won't.

"The merger will not in any way affect MetroPCS’ partnership with UFC," a MetroPCS official told "The UFC sponsor will continue to be the MetroPCS brand. All aspects of the day-to-day UFC/MetroPCS relationship will be business as usual."

A mutli-year sponsorship deal was signed between the brands at the end of 2011, leading to MetroPCS becoming one of the most visible and biggest sponsors associated with the UFC.

The wireless carrier sponsors the "Move of the Fight" segment at the end of every fight and has signed individual sponsorship deals with the likes of Ronda Rousey, Urijah Faber, Cain Velasquez, and most recently, Anthony Pettis. MetroPCS also sponsored the UFC's "Herald Square Takeover" last week in New York City.

T-Mobile USA currently has 34 million subscribers, while MetroPCS has 9 million. The merger would make the new T-Mobile US the 4th largest wireless carrier in America.
