Pat Healy came and went from the UFC in a hurry back in 2006. He lost a first-round submission to Anthony Torres, then was gone from the company as soon as he arrived.
Suffice to say his second UFC stint is already more memorable than the first. In his 46th career bout, the Team Quest fighter scored an impressive win over rugged veteran Jim Miller at the Prudential Center in Newark, fishing Miller with a third-round choke.
He also left the building $130,000 richer. Healy and Miller took home $65,000 Fight of the Night bonuses, and Healy pocketed another $65K for submission of the night.
Roy Nelson was the other bonus winner on the evening. "Big Country" floored Cheick Kongo with a big right hand for a first-round knockout. The Las Vegas native took home $65,000 for knockout of the night after his fourth KO/TKO win in his past five fights.
