UFC 158 took place March 16, 2013 at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre (24-2) battled former Strikeforce champion Nick Diaz (26-9, 1 NC) in a long-awaited grudge match for night's main event. Catch the video highlights above.

Round 1: Yves Levigne is the referee. No touching of gloves for this one. St-Pierre throws a low kick. Diaz pushes forward and GSP scores an immediate takedown. St-Pierre lands an elbow. Diaz busy looking for submissions, but doesn't find anything. Diaz turns and St-Pierre takes his back. Diaz rolls out and lunges at St-Pierre, but GSP sprawls and takes his back again. Diaz on his hands and knees as GSP lands several right hands. St-Pierre works to side control. GSP postures up, throws a right, then starts landing punches from the top. Diaz spins out again and St-Pierre gets his back. Diaz tries to get to his feet, keeps one knee on the ground to avoid the knee to the head. Diaz back to his feet, but St-Pierre takes him right back to the ground. All St-Pierre this round, the not enough damage for a 10-8. MMAFighting scores the round for Georges St-Pierre, 10-9.

Round 2: Diaz throws a low kick. GSP responds in kind. GSP throws a front kick which misses. And GSP scores the takedown, 40 seconds in this time. Repeat of the first round, as GSP methodically works over Diaz from top position. This is starting to look like GSP-Serra 2 as GSP lands big knees to Diaz's torso. Diaz covers up as St-Pierre unleashes big left hands. Diaz tries to get to his feet, can't. Midway through the round. GSP back in top position and lands a couple elbows. Montreal crowd is eating this all up. Diaz again tries to scramble to his feet, actually gets there. One minute left. Diaz finds time to taunt GSP, and St-Pierre responds with a Superman punch. Round 3: GSP comes out throwing a high kick. Diaz is uttering expletives at St-Pierre. St-Pierre responds with jabs, not falling for the bait. Diaz sprawls a takedown attempt, but GSP goes right back to it and this time gets it. 52 seconds in was the time of the first takedown this time. Diaz spins out, gets to his hands and knees, and crawls over to the fence before he gets back up. They're standing and back to center octagon. GSP goes for a single-leg and Diaz sprawls it. Diaz connects with a body shot and GSP answers with a leg kick. Diaz throws a pair of leg kicks. Midway through the round. GSP catches Diaz with jabs every time Diaz pushes forward. They both whiff on crescent kicks. GSP goes for a takedown and Diaz sprawls it. GSP lands a solid straight right. This was the round where Diaz is getting it standing, where he wants the fight, and he's done little with it. But as soon as I say that, Diaz lands a solid right hand and another. He connects on a left. Diaz is starting to look confident. And as soon as I say *that,* GSP lands a takedown. MMAFighting scores the round for Georges St-Pierre, 10-9 (30-27 overall).

Round 4: Diaz threw a swing at GSP after the end of round three; Levigne says he'll disqualify Diaz if that happens again. Diaz pressed forward but keeps walking into left jabs. Diaz stuffs a GSP takedown attempt. GSP throws a high kick. One minute in and we're still standing. Diaz swings a wild overhand right. GSP goes for a single-leg. Diaz is cut around his left eye but the blood flow is minor. Diaz once again stuffs a takedown attempt. GSP's nose is cut open. They're dirty boxing and Diaz is landing knees to the body. Diaz lands a solid three-punch combo. Midway through the round. Diaz has his hands low and is circling away from GSP. St-Pierre looks up at the clock, then gets a takedown. Diaz works back to his feet but GSP's hanging on to him and he turns it right back into another takedown. One minute left. Diaz up again. Diaz works for a Kimura but doesn't quite have the positioning to pull it off. GSP lands left hands as Diaz tries to get to his feet. That was as close as Diaz has had the fight to the way he wants it, and St-Pierre is still your winner. MMAFighting scores the round for Georges St-Pierre, 10-9 (40-36 overall).

Round 5: Diaz comes out swinging, including a straight left hand which found a home. GSP responds with a crisp jab. They end up in a Greco clinch and St-Pierre lands a knee to the body. Diaz lands a couple knees as well. St-Pierre lands a left and a right. Diaz goes for a head kick, but slips, and St-Pierre gets his back. Diaz slithers out and tries to work for a Kimura, but GSP has it defended well. Midway through the round. Every time the ground fight turns into a scramble, it ends with GSP in top position. Finally Diaz finds his way to his feet with two minutes left. They clinch and Diaz throws multiple strikes to the body. The crowd has an obscene chant for Diaz. Final minute. GSP throws a high kick and gets a takedown. St-Pierre throwing elbows. Diaz throwing rabbit punches from the bottom. GSP stands and the fight ends. Diaz raised GSP's hand and walks away.
