Jamie Varner replaces Bobby Green, faces Abel Trujillo at UFC 169

Abel Trujillo has a new opponent for UFC 169 on Feb. 1, 2014.

Trujillo will now face Jamie Varner in a lightweight contest after Bobby Green was forced to drop out of the scheduled fight for undisclosed reasons, according to UFC officials on Tuesday afternoon.

Varner has won three of his past five fights, but lost to Gleison Tibau via split decision at UFC 164 this past August.

Trujillo defeated Roger Bowling via second-round TKO at UFC on FOX 9 in his last Octagon appearance. He is 3-1 (with one no-contest) in his last five fights.

A bantamweight title unification fight between Dominick Cruz and Renan Barao will headline the event.
