Two fights added to UFC Fight Night 36 card in Brazil

UFC’s next card in Brazil has a new pair of matchups.

UFC Fight Night 36 will feature the return of Erick Silva against Nate Loughran in Jaragua do Sul on Feb. 15. Sources close to the situation confirmed the news to MMAFighting.com, following a report from Combate.

Silva (14-4, 1 no-contest), who has fought five of his six UFC bouts in his native country, looks to get back in the win column after suffering a second-round knockout loss to Dong Hyun Kim at UFC Fight Night 29.

Loughran (11-1) returns to the UFC after back-to-back wins since he left the promotion. Loughran went 1-1 inside the Octagon back in 2008 with his loss being a TKO due to injury against Tim Credeur. He picked up a decision win after four years away from MMA in March 2012

The other bout officially announced for the card is Rodrigo Damm vs. Ivan Jorge in a lightweight fight.

Damm (11-6) enters the cage following a split-decision win over Mizuto Hirota last June. The TUF: Brazil contestant was expected to take on Hacran Dias at UFC Fight Night 29, but was forced out of the bout days after the weigh-in due to kidney issues.

Jorge (25-3) made his Octagon debut last September, when he faced off against Keith Wisniewski on short notice at UFC Fight Night 28, winning the bout via unanimous decision. The former Jungle Fight champion rides a seven-fight win streak with six submission victories.

UFC Fight Night 36 will be headlined by a middleweight clash featuring Lyoto Machida and Gegard Mousasi.
