TUF 18 Finale Live Blog: Gray Maynard vs. Nate Diaz

This is the TUF 18 Finale live blog for Gray Maynard vs. Nate Diaz, a lightweight bout at Saturday night's UFC event at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.

Maynard, who has lost two of his last three fights, will face Diaz, who has lost two straight fights, on the main card.

Round 1: Yves Lavigne is the referee. Diaz is southpaw while Maynard is orthodox. Leaping right hook from Maynard whiffs. Single leg for Maynard and he briefly attempts a head and arm triangle, but can't get it. Diaz scores double underhooks and stands, even scores a harai goshi, but Maynard rolls through on top. They stand and separate. Maynard whiffs on a single and eats a right hand. He's in huge trouble and Diaz is scoring all kinds of shots. Maynard is somehow hanging on, but the referee has no choice but to stop the fight.
