Forrest Griffin. Diego Sanchez. Michael Bisping. Rashad Evans. And on down the line.

The list of Ultimate Fighter winners includes some of the biggest names in the UFC and several who went on to become champions.

While the jury is still out on Chris Holdsworth's ceiling as a fighter, there's no doubt he went out and earned his spot on the list of Ultimate Fighter winners. The tenacious Team Alpha Male fighter seized on a mistake by Davey Grant and choked him out in the second round on Saturday night.

Holdsworth, a Team Tate fighter, won the men's bantamweight finale Saturday night at the Mandalay Bay Events Center at 2:10 of round two.

"It's been a long six months with the show and the anticipation, keeping a secret, not telling everyone, it's been crazy," Holdsworth (5-0) said.

In a back-and-forth standup round one, the upstart Grant (9-1), representing Team Rousey, had his moments and kept Holdsworth honest, but Holdsworth continued to push the pace and claimed the round.

The beginning of the end came when Holdsworth through a head kick which landed flush with his chin. Soon thereafter, Holdsworth landed a takedown. As Grant attempted to sit up and scramble back to his feet, Holdsworth pounced and sunk in the winning rear-naked choke.

For his part, Holdsworth credited Grant for a spirited battle.

"Hat's off to him," Grant said. "He's really tough, I wish him the best of luck in the future."
