A lightweight contest between Sam Stout and Cody McKenzie has been slated for the upcoming UFC on FOX 9 fight card Dec. 14, according to UFC officials Thursday evening.
Stout has lost three of his last five fights, including a submission loss (guillotine choke) to James Krause at UFC 161.
McKenzie returns to the lightweight division after going 1-1 as a featherweight. He has lost three of his last five fights as well, but he defeated Leonard Garcia in his last fight via unanimous decision at UFC 159.
Anthony Pettis will defend his UFC lightweight title for the first time against Josh Thomson in the main event in Sacramento.
