This is the UFC on FOX 6 live blog for Erik Koch vs. Ricardo Lamas, a featherweight bout at Saturday night's UFC event at the United Center in Chicago.

Koch. who will be stepping inside the Octagon for the first time since Sept. 17, 2011, will face Ricard Lamas, who has won three straight, on the main card.

Round 1: Big John McCarthy is the referee. Koch opens southpaw with Lamas orthodox. Lamas threatening with feinted kicks, but throws nothing. Koch doing the stalking but still nothing of significance lands. Lamas shoots in on a double against the fence, switches to a single, runs the pipe and gets it for a moment. Koch stands immediately. Lamas back in on a double against the fence. Lamas again switches to a single, but lets it go. Lamas trying to get behind Koch to score a body lock takedown, but can't get it. They break after exchanging an elbow and a punch. Lamas goes again for the single and finally gets it, but for only a moment.

MMA Fighting scores this round 10-10

Round 2: Left hand by Kock to start the round. Two hard outside leg kicks from Lamas and Koch responds with an inside kick of his own. Koch presses Lamas into the cage, but disengages. One-two combo from Koch finds the mark. Double leg takedown from a slip puts Lamas on top of Koch and working from his guard. Decent ground and pound from Lamas on top with both body shots and elbows to the head. Lamas nails Koch with a hard elbow and a left hand leaving the Duke Roufus product hurt. A few more shots and Koch doesn't know where he is as John McCarthy stops the fight. Brutal finish.
