Chat Wrap: More of the Jon Jones Saga, Weekend in MMA Recap and Discussion

New, comments

There may have been no UFC 151, but that doesn't mean there wasn't plenty of MMA since we last spoke. There's also been plenty going on in MMA. For starters, ONE FC 5 took place and was not half bad. I'm not sure I'm particularly interested in seeing a fifth installment of Tim Sylvia vs. Andrei Arlovski, but at least the 'open guard' rule has finally been done away with.

Perhaps most importantly, Frankie Edgar's drop to featherweight means an immediate title fight against champion Jose Aldo. While I like Aldo to win, that should be one of the best fights of the year.

And since we just can't escape it, there's still the Jon Jones situation. If you haven't heard his interview with Ariel Helwani, go do that now. Jones addressed every issue under the sun from being called a coward to whether he knew UFC 151 would be cancelled if he didn't take the Chael Sonnen fight to much, much more.

Join me today at 1 p.m. ET for this week's installment of the live chat as we'll jump headfirst into all of these aforementioned issues. We'll also address whatever topics are on your mind. And thanks to the technology of Google +, now you can be a part of the chat.

As is customary, I'll post the video window here as the event draws near and I'll answer any questions you may have if you post them in the comments section below.
