This is the UFC 155 undercard live blog for the dos Santos vs. Velasquez event at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
There will be seven fights on the undercard. Brad Pickett vs. Eddie Wineland, Erik Perez vs. Byron Bloodworth, Melvin Guillard vs. Jamie Varner, Michael Johnson vs. Myles Jury, Phil De Fries vs. Todd Duffee, Leonard Garcia vs. Max Holloway, and Chris Cariaso vs. John Moraga will be featured on the prelims.

Chris Cariaso vs. John Moraga
Round 1: Chris Tognoni is our referee. Cariaso ducks under and lands a kick to Moraga's lead leg. Moraga answers with a right hook. Moraga catches a kick and briefly stumbles Cariaso with a counter. Moraga muscles Cariaso to the ground only to immediately let him back up. So far neither man willing to commit to anything significant. Cariaso charges in with a one-two but Moraga slips it and presses Cariaso against the fence. The fight retakes the center of the Octagon and Cariaso wastes little time connecting with a kick to the body. Moraga blocks a high kick. Solid left hook lands on the jaw of Cariaso. Moraga eats a right hand and answers with a straight counter. Cariaso launches another kick to the body. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Moraga.
Round 2: Cariaso's corner calls for him to push the pace. Cariaso follow their advice and tosses out the first combination of the round. Moraga blocks another high kick. Cariaso clinches, lands a knee to the body and winds up with his back against the fence. Moraga nearly connects with a knee to the head. Moraga lands a combination flush on his way out. Most significant moment of the round thus far. Cariaso throws out another high kick and this one lands. Moraga catches a kick to the body and counters with a leg kick. Moraga ducks under a straight punch and answers with another leg kick. Moraga tosses Cariaso to the ground but is hesitant to follow. Moraga eventually lets Cariaso back up. Moraga blocks another high kick. Cariaso trips Moraga to the mat, landing in full guard as the horn sounds. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Moraga.
Round 3: Cariaso hunting for a takedown early. Moraga shakes it off and pushes forward. Cariaso muscles Moraga against the fence. Moraga sneaks in a front headlock, whirls around and clamps down. This one is over. Cariaso taps. Slick stuff from John Moraga.

Leonard Garcia vs. Max Holloway
Round 1: Referee Kim Winslow oversees the action. Holloway slips a combination. Garcias connects with a slapping leg kick. Holloway eats a big right hand. Huge left hand drops Garcia, but only briefly. Holloway charges forward to capitalize, but after seeing Garcia regain his senses, backs up and take a deep breath. A classic looping punch unloads from Garcia. Garcia the far more agressive fighter so far. A straight punch staggers Holloway. Garcia beginning to open up and find his range. Holloway finds his mark with a spinning back kick. Another right hand puts Holloway on wobbly legs. Garcia lunges forward but the horn stops the action. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Holloway.
Round 2: Holloway tosses out a spinning back kick. Holloway paws forward with his jab before missing another spinning back kick. Garcia connects with a left hook but eats a sharp counter for his troubles. Garcia picks up Holloway and slams his to the mat. Holloway quickly stands back up and retakes the center of the cage. Holloway lands a pair of right hands. Holloway ducks under a looping punch and smacks Garcia in the jaw with a straight counter. Garcia's corner imploring for their fighter to stay composed. Garcia starting to the open up with his combinations, shouting with every strike. Holloway clinches and lands a knee to the body. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Garcia.
Round 3: Holloway digs in with a left hook to the body. Garcia staying aggressive. Holloway content to sit back and counter. Wild spinning backfist misses for Garcia. Garcia's hands are completely down now. Holloway eats a left-right to the jaw. Garcia throwing combinations with reckless abandon. This is the Leonard Garcia we all know and love. Holloway trying to stay active. Garcia changes levels and throws Holloway to the mat. Holloway briefly hunts for a kimura from the bottom but can't get it. Garcia allows Holloway back to his feet, but Holloway looks absolutely exhausted. A right straight smashes the temple of Holloway, who just clenches his teeth and fires back. Another spinning back kick from Holloway. The pair clinch and Garcia muscles the fight to the mat. Holloway looks for a triangle, but Garcia simply stands and slams himself free. The horn sounds and both fighters embrace in the center of the cage. Wild fight. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Garcia.

Phil De Fries vs. Todd Duffee
Round 1: Duffee immediately crumples De Fries with a leg kick. De Fries clamors into the clinch and secures a desperation takedown. Duffee tries to climb to his feet but eats a salvo of short shots to the head on his way up. De Fries dodges a looping hook out of the break. A massive pair of uppercuts connect for Duffee. De Fries is in trouble. Duffee storms forward unloading haymaker after haymaker. Another giant right-left-right combination smashes De Fries and he collapses in a heap. Wow, impressive return for Todd Duffee. Shades of Baroni vs. Menne with the destructive finishing sequence against the cage.

Michael Johnson vs. Myles Jury
Round 1: Herb Dean is our referee. Jury finds his range with an outside leg kick. Johnson ducks under a wild right. Jury fakes a right hook and trips Johnson to the ground, landing in half guard. Jury advances to mount. Johnson escapes back to half guard. Johnson controlling Jury's left arm and trying to defend. Jury frees his arm and unloads a flurry of unanswered punches to Johnson's head. Johnson scrambles, but Jury continues to rain down elbows from the top. Jury briefly looks for a kimura before transitioning to side control. Jury deftly advances to mount and hunts for a rear-naked choke as the horn sounds. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Jury.
Round 2: Johnson light on his feet to open the second frame. Jury dodges a looping right. Johnson tentatively tosses out a high kick. Head kick lands clean for Jury. Johnson blocks a shot and unloads a counter right hook. Johnson tags Jury with a short punch. Jury catches a kick and drags Johnson to the mat. Jury works a few short elbows from the top. Jury postures up before uncorking another big elbow. The crowd starting to get restless at the lack of action. Johnson seems content to just hold on while Jury continues to attack. Round 3: Johnson opens aggressively. A lunging right finds its mark, and another. Jury clinches up and immediately trips Johnson to the ground, landing in half guard. Jury advances to side control. Johnson once again unable to mount any defense or sense of urgency underneath Jury. Jury unloads a volley of left hands while looking to seize Johnson's back. Johnson slips back into half guard, but eats another flurry of strikes to the head in the process. Jury is absolutely stifling. Jury briefly advances into mount before Johnson stands and clutches for a last-second guillotine, but it's too little, too late. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Jury.

Melvin Guillard vs. Jamie Varner
Round 1: Referee Chris Tognoni oversees the action. Leg kick lands for Guillard. Varner lunges in and misses with a right hook. Another leg kick from Guillard. The crowd already growing restless. Varner connects with a hard combination. Guillard blocks a high kick. Varner rushes inside only to be thrown away by Guillard. Varner presses forward against another pair of leg kicks. And another. Varner ducks under and lands a wide, looping counter. More boos start to rain down from the crowd. Guillard eats a wild hook. Varner briefly drops Guillard with a combination. Guillard trying to stay alive. Varner seizes a guillotine. It's in deep but the horn saves Guillard. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Varner.
Round 2: Varner slips a straight punch and fires right back. Guillard finds a home for another leg kick. Varner changes levels and drags Guillard to the mat. Varner looking to take Guillard's back, but Guillard defends and flips Varner down. Guillard considers hunting for a guillotine, but quickly thinks better of it and stands. Huge head kick lands flush for Guillard. Varner is hurt, but he's still in this. Varner connects with a left hook, followed by a combination. Varner ducks under a looping hook and shoots for a double. He gets it, landing on top with Guillard perched against the fence. Guillard slowly works his way back up. Guillard tosses out his jab. Big right hand connects for Varner. A wayward kick smashes Guillard in the nether region. Well, that looked bad. After a quick break, the action resumes with Varner on the aggressive. Flying knee almost lands for Guillard. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Varner.
Round 3: Another Guillard flying knee opens the final frame. Varner changes levels and looks for a single, but Guillard defends. Varner tries again and this time he's successful. Varner hunts for a Peruvian necktie, but Guillard slips out and winds up on top. Varner scrambles and escapes, eating a knee on his way out. Varner quickly drags the fight back to the foor, landing in Guillard's guard. Guillard works his way to his feet, nearly giving up his back in the process. Almost immediately Varner takes him back down. Guillard clutches for an armbar from the bottom, before reversing into side control. Varner sweeps to retake top position. Guillard pushes him off. He has 30 seconds to make something happen. Guillard digs a hook into Varner's body and then clinches. Varner responds by lifting Guillard up and slamming him down sideways. The horn sounds as both men lie on the mat in a tangled mess of limbs. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Varner.

Erik Perez vs. Byron Bloodworth
Round 1: Kim Winslow is our referee. Bloodworth tags Perez with a pair of overhand rights. Perez ties up, muscles Bloodworth against the fence, and works a few short knees and elbows. Huge knee to the body crumples Bloodworth. Perez lunges on top, postures up and unloads a flurry of short shots. Perez relentless with his attack. Perez slices open Bloodworth's forehead with an elbow. Bloodworth is in trouble. Another flurry of right hands come and Winslow steps in. This one is over.

Brad Pickett vs. Eddie Wineland
Round 1: Referee Yves Lavigne is the man in charge of the action. Pickett lands first, connecting with a stiff left hook to the jaw. Wineland answers with a right hand. And another. Left hook clips Wineland. Pickett ducks under a combination and tags Wineland. Huge shot puts Pickett on wobbly legs. Wineland lands flush once more, but Pickett seems to be alright. Wineland finds a home for another left and once again Pickett drops to a knee. Pickett changes levels and shoots for a takedown, but Wineland successfully defends. Wineland staying active with combinations. Pickett eats a counter hook. Wineland lands cleanly as the horn sounds. MMA Fighting scores it 10-9 for Wineland.
Round 2: Pickett pumps his jab. Looping overhand right nearly lands flush for Pickett. Wineland catches a kick and fires back a straight right. Pickett misses wildly with an overhand right. Wineland tags Pickett and circles. Another straight shot snaps Pickett's head back. Both fighters trade combinations in the pocket, with Wineland getting the better of the exchange. Wineland throws out a superman punch. Pickett lunges in with an uppercut that misses. Restless murmurs start to rain down from the crowd. Straight counter connects for Wineland. Round 3: Pickett charges forward with an uppercut. Pickett jabs and briefly clinches, unloading a knee on his way out. Wineland walks into a leg kick. Right hand lands cleanly for Pickett. Neither fighter willing to commit too much to any exchange. Wineland slips a jab and circles. Looping hook cracks Wineland on the jaw. Pickett misses an uppercut from the pocket and eats a counter shot. Left hook connects on Wineland. Pickett turns on the gas as the clock counts down, but nothing lands flush.
