UFC on FUEL 6 live blog: Takanori Gomi vs. Mac Danzig

This is the UFC on FUEL 6 live blog for Takanori Gomi vs. Mac Danzig, a lightweight bout at Saturday's UFC event at the Cotai Arena in Macau.

Gomi has two of his past three UFC fights, while Danzig has won two of his past three fights.

Round 1: Steve Perceval is the referee. Gomi opens southpaw with Danzig standing orthodox. Gomi now switching stances. Both fighters landing a bit, but nothing significant so far. With a body lock, Gomi takes Danzig to the mat. Danzig able to stand with an overhook on Gomi as a fake guillotine attempt. Gomi lighting up Danzig's legs and Danzig returns the favor. Danzig lands a good left hook and follows it up with a single leg.

Round 2: Left hand lead lands a few times for Gomi. Gomi rips a hard right hand to the body. The two now trade jabs and Gomi is stalking. Danzig attempts a double and Gomi stuffs it with authority. Danzig fires a left to the body. Danzig fires a cross-jab that lands followed by a successful double leg takedown. Gomi attempts to stand which prompts Danzig to jump guillotine. Gomi bases up and they roll, but Gomi is hanging on.

Round 3: Gomi land a right hand that partially rocks Danzig and sends him to the mat. Gomi jumps in his guard, but Danzig appears to be fine. Gomi stands and Danzig tries to roll into a knee bar, but can't get it as both attempt toeholds and then let them go. Gomi back on top in half guard. Danzig stands the same way he did before and the two clinch along the fence. Gomi attempts an outside trip, but Danzig gets his hip back far enough to stuff it. He tries to take Gomi's back, but can't get it. Right hand lands for Danzig, but his takedown attempt is stuffed.
