He attempts another double, but Dodson shrugs it off. Dodson catches a kick and tries his trademark sweep where he kicks out the posting leg, but he can't get it.

Round 2: Dodson whiffs with an overhand left and shrugs off a takedown from Formiga. Short outside leg kick from the mark for Dodson. Lots of missed punches from both fighters. Formiga attempts another double and can't get it, then eats an uppercut to the body for his efforts. Then out of nowhere a left hand drops Formiga. Dodson is hesitant to follow Formiga to the ground and eventually Formiga scrambles to his feet. Another left hand drops Formiga and Dodson pounces. Formiga goes bellydown and tries to cover up, but is doing nothing to stop Dodson. The referee is left with no choice but to step in.
