Gerald Harris Signs Multi-Fight Deal With DREAM

Former UFC middleweight fighter Gerald Harris has signed a multi-fight contract with DREAM. "Hurricane" announced the news via Twitter Monday afternoon.

Harris is 1-1 since his release from the UFC last year. He lost to James Head via unanimous decision in February and defeated Anthony Ruiz via unanimous decision in May.

A former cast member on the seventh season of The Ultimate Fighter, Harris went 3-1 in the UFC before getting his walking papers. The news came as a surprise to many fans because, despite his uninspiring loss to Maiquel Falcao at UFC 123, Harris had finished the first three opponents he faced in the UFC.

The 31-year-old is 18-4 in his pro MMA career, picking up notable wins over Nissen Osterneck, John Salter and Mario Miranda.

No word just yet on when Harris will debut for the Japanese-based promotion.
