<! mediaid=4318299 Gregory Bull, AP: img border="1" hspace="4" vspace="4" align="right" alt="" src="" />The Haywire trailer video featuring Gina Carano was released over the weekend and it's your early look at the Strikeforce superstar's first Hollywood lead role.

Haywire, directed by Oscar winner Steven Soderbergh, is about a covert operative Mallory Kane played by Carano who is out for revenge after a betrayal by someone within her own agency.

The 29-year-old is in good company in the movie joined by established actors such as Ewan McGregor, Channing Tatum, Bill Paxton, Michael Douglas and Antonio Banderas.

Check out the trailer below.

In 2009, Carano's MMA career went on hiatus when she signed on for the movie shortly after losing in a Strikeforce title bout to Cris Cyborg in August. Carano who holds a professional record of 7-1, was slated to return last month on the Strikeforce: Overeem vs. Werdum card, but withdrew after failing a medical test with her personal doctor.

And here's an interview with Carano conducted over the weekend at Comic-Con 2011 in San Diego. It's one of her first interviews since her Strikeforce appearance in February announcing her return to MMA.
