Spike TV announced Monday that the three-episode weekly series will begin airing Wednesday, April 13 at midnight ET.
Cameras have been rolling for a behind-the-scenes look at St-Pierre's training at the TriStar gym in Montreal and opponent Jake Shields' camp with the Cesar Gracie team in California.
As if the UFC 129 card was not strong enough on paper (Aldo vs. Hominick, Couture vs. Machida, among others), the UFC is going all out with its higher-budget Primetime shows. The April 30 event at the Rogers Centre is expected to be the largest event in UFC history with 55,000 in attendance.
The last UFC pay-per-view, headlined by Jon Jones vs. Mauricio "Shogun" Rua, were built up with the usual Countdown show as well as the debut of In the Moment featuring Jon Jones, which resembled more of a video blog.
UFC Primetime: St-Pierre vs. Shields will be the fifth installment in the series, which began for UFC 94: St-Pierre vs. Penn in January 2009.
