Round 1: Ebersole comes out with his unorthodox offense, a cartwheel kick right off the bat. Lytle side steps it. Lytle lands a right. Ebersole ducks low for a takedown and Lytle tries a guillotine. Ebersole works his way out. The two struggle for position. Lytle holds on to Ebersole's neck as they grapple. Ebersole ends up on top and Lytle works another guillotine. Ebersole's out again. He ends up on top. Lytle is bleeding and Ebersole smashes him with an elbow, then gets up and walks away a few seconds before the round ends, wasting a precious opportunity. Round to Lytle, 10-9.
Round 2: Ebersole chops at Lytle's leg with a kick. Lytle fires off a right but misses. Lytle is having some issues with landing cleanly against Ebersole's strange style. He finally corners him against the cage and lands hard strikes. Ebersole fires back and rocks Lytle with a knee to the face. Ebersole tries a D'arce choke. Lytle works free but still one minute left. Ebersole lands a big elbow, then took Lytle down and landed a few elbows and shoulders. Big round for Ebersole, 10-9.
Round 3: Ebersole tried the cartwheel kick again. Lytle scores with an uppercut. Ebersole smiles at him. He's quite entertaining and clearly enjoying his UFC debut. A scramble ends with Ebersole on top. Lytle works free then tries a guillotine. Back to their feet with half the round left, and it's up for grabs. Ebersole pushes Lytle against the cage and knees his thigh. Ebersole lost his mouthpiece but they're in a clinch and the ref can't get it to him. He finally calls time a few seconds later. 1:15 left. Lytle dropped down for a knee bar. Ebersole defended and ended up on top. That could cost Lytle the fight. Lytle's face ended up bloodied and Ebersole excitedly threw his mouthpiece into the crowd to end it. MMA Fighting scores it for Ebersole, 10-9.
