Alan Belcher was supposed to fight Demian Maia in September but was forced to pull out of the fight due to suffering from a detached retina.The injury was once thought to be career-threatening, however, Belcher has overcome the odds and is back training full-time again.
The 26-year-old told MMA Fighting last week that he hopes to return to the UFC in June or July, and his wish is to get another crack at Maia.
Maia (14-2) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Kendall Grove in December.
Belcher (16-6) was last seen beating Patrick Cote at UFC 113.
