As a sign of just how stacked the UFC 126 card is, Yamamoto, once considered the best lighter weight fighter, managed to miss a spot on both the pay-per-view and Spike TV card. However, the fans spoke out on Twitter, asking UFC president Dana White to make the fight available in some capacity.
According to the UFC, the bantamweight fight will be streamed at 8:25 p.m. ET, followed by two preliminary bouts on Spike TV at 9 p.m. ET. The pay-per-view begins at 10 p.m. ET.
Yamamoto, 33, holds a 18-3 record in MMA and last fought at Dream.14 in May 2010, knocking out his opponent in one minute and 41 seconds. 13 of his wins have been via (T)KO.
Yamamoto's opponent Demetrious Johnson, nicknamed "Mighty Mouse," is 8-1 and comes to the UFC after completing a 2-1 stint in the WEC. Johnson is coming off the biggest win of his career, a guillotine submission win over Damacio Page at WEC 52 last November.
