Joe Riggs Joins Bellator Season Four

Well traveled Arizona middleweight Joe Riggs has found a new home in Bellator and will make his promotional debut on season four beginning in March on MTV 2.

"Bellator has a lot of well-rounded, talented guys in their middleweight division," Riggs stated in Bellator's announcement Monday. "Guys like Bryan Baker, Eric Schambari, and of course the middleweight champion, Hector Lombard. There are some really good middleweights for me to test myself against, and it was one of the reasons I came to Bellator."

Although he holds 47 fights under his belt, with a record of 34-12 and one no contest, Riggs is still only 28 years of age. A WEC, UFC and Strikeforce veteran, Riggs is currently riding a two-fight win streak and has won six of his last seven fights.

Riggs was last seen in the spotlight at Strikeforce Challengers 10 in August and despite winning the main event fight, did not have his contract renewed with Strikeforce.

A former WEC middleweight champion back in 2005, Riggs is one of the rare fighters to have competed in the heavyweight, light heavyweight, middleweight and welterweight divisions.
