LAS VEGAS -- This is the UFC 125 live blog for Takanori Gomi vs. Clay Guida, a lightweight bout on tonight's UFC pay-per-view at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.Gomi (32-6) in his last fight knocked out Tyson Griffin at UFC on Versus 2 in August. Guida (27-11) won two fights in 2010, finishing Rafael dos Anjos and Shannon Gugerty.

Round 1: Very low stances from both men, Guida probably getting ready to shoot, Gomi ready to defend. Guida is a ball of energy early, but mostly moving in and out to gauge distance and set something up. Gomi reactionary. Guida lands a head kick. It knocks Gomi back a step, but looks fine seconds later. Guida shoots in for a single leg, takes Gomi down for a brief second, but Gomi's back up and in his striking stance. Gomi lands a left. Guida still dancing around the outside. Guida shoots in but stops short and pulls out. Gomi throws a left, it lands but Guida's drives in for a takedown with 40 seconds left. A few strikes on the ground for Guida complete round one as he takes it, 10-9.
Round 2: Gomi looks like he's going to be a bit more aggressive in the second, moving forward a bit more. He lands a right early. Guida digs in for a single leg. Gomi works free and briefly takes Guida's back. Guida escapes without any damage. Guida lands a head kick/right hand combo. Gomi looks flummoxed. Guida's movement is too much. Guida lands a right square. Gomi lands a flush knee, but Guida catches it and puts Gomi on his back. Guida looked for a guillotine and Gomi tried to pull free but it was too deep, and he was forced to tap.
