UFC 125 Live Blog: Chris Leben vs. Brian Stann Updates

LAS VEGAS -- This is the UFC 125 live blog for Chris Leben vs. Brian Stann, a middleweight bout on tonight's UFC pay-per-view at the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Leben (25-6) has won all three of his UFC fights in 2010, including two within a two-week period. Stann (9-3) is coming off a triangle choke win in his 185-pound debut against Mike Massenzio at UFC on Versus 2 in August.

Round 1: Leben opens up with a high kick that misses. Stann steps into a right hook that grazes Leben. Stann slips in a clinch and Leben scores with an uppercut. They exchange from the position and both land shots. Stann pushes Leben against the cage. They pull apart and reset. Stann misses a right, Leben lands a left but Stann explodes with a right that knocks Leben down. Stann follows him there and lands strikes but Leben gets to his feet. Leben is getting hammered relentlessly but staying alive. Stann won't let up and stands over Leben, throwing power strikes that find their target repeatedly until the referee mercifully steps into stop it. A Stann knee to the face is the shot that really hurt Leben the most, and he followed up for the TKO.
