GLENDALE, Ariz. -- This is the WEC 53 live blog for Donald Cerrone vs. Chris Horodecki, a lightweight bout on tonight's WEC on Versus event from the Jobing.com Arena.Cerrone (12-3) in September beat rival Jamie Varner via unanimous decision. Horodecki (16-2) has won both his WEC fights this year against Ed Ratcliff and Danny Downes.

Round 1: Cerrone comes out jabbing and tosses out a head kick. He lands a knee to the body in close that makes Horodecki wince, then another shot that's clearly to the groin a few moments later. After a pause to let Horodecki recover, they go right back to a fast-paced mix of punches and leg kicks. Cerrone shoots for the takedown and gets it, but Horodecki gets back to his feet. Cerrone lands a nice kick to the body and Horodecki rushes in for the clinch and gets tossed aside. A left hand lands for Cerrone, and Horodecki's right eye is starting to swell. Cerrone lands a hard knee to the body as Horodecki rushes in for the takedown, and gets it. Cerrone's back up, only to get taken down again a few moments later. Cerrone lands some decent hammerfists from his back, then gets up and takes Horodecki down and takes his back in the final 15 seconds, but cant' do anything with it. MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9 for Cerrone.
Round 2: Horodecki tries a head kick, but he's off-balance and nearly topples over. Horodecki shoots for a takedown and gets it, but Cerrone transitions for an oma plata. Horodecki defends, but Cerrone switches to a triangle choke. It's locked up, but Cerrone can't get the arm across the body. Horodecki is unable to escape, and Cerrone manages to move his hips out and push the arm over. He's squeezing with everything he's got now, and Horodecki has to tap.
