Matt Hughes vs.
BJ Penn, a welterweight bout on tonight's pay-per-view at the Palace of Auburn Hills.
This fight will complete the trilogy between these two future UFC legends. Penn won the first in 2004 to win the welterweight title, but lost in a rematch two years later by TKO.
The live blog is below.
Round 1: Crowd is pro-Penn but respectful to Hughes. Penn comes out fast with combos. Penn floors Hughes with an overhand right and ground and pounds him and it's over in a flash.

Afterward, a thrilled Penn helped a stunned Hughes up and ran out of the cage and towards the back before returning as the crowd chanted "BJ!" A stunning win after a two-fight losing streak for Penn. In the cage, Hughes said he thought he was hit by a kick or knee, that's how hard the punch was that knocked him down.
