Condit walks in to the opening strains of Jimi Hendrix's famous version of The Star Spangled Banner. Hey, if you're going to be the villain, you might as well go all the way. Dan Hardy walks in to "England Belongs to Me." Crowd is ready to explode.
Round 1: Huge pop from the crowd as the opening seconds begin. They waste no time with a "Hardy!" chant. Condit comes out with leg kicks early. The two settle into a standup fight, no surprise. Condit with more leg kicks. Condit throws is a spinning elbow that just misses. Hardy answers with a hard left. Condit drills Hardy with a left hook and a kick moments later. Very close round with about 90 seconds left. Condit throws a combo and Hardy responds with another left. Hardy then scores with a right as he starts to settle in. With 40 seconds left Condit throws a bomb of a left hook and Hardy is down and out. It's over with one punch, and ironically, it's Condit using Hardy's best weapon against him. They both threw straight right/left hook combos at the same time, and Condit's landed first, on the button.
Winner: Carlos Condit via KO, 1st Round (4:27).
