TUF 11 Finale Live Blog: Spencer Fisher vs. Dennis Siver Updates

LAS VEGAS -- This is the TUF 11 live blog for Spencer Fisher vs. Dennis Siver, a lightweight bout on tonight's live finale from the Palms Casino Resort.

Fisher's three-fight win streak was snapped last October against Joe Stevenson. Fisher will look to get back on track against German-Russian fighter Siver.

The live blog is below.

Round 1: Fisher, whose physique looks a little jiggly tonight, is dancing in and out of Siver's range. A leg kick from Fisher catches Siver square in the pills, and we pause while he recovers. After the restart they trade body kicks, and Fisher nearly catches one to use for a takedown. A good front kick from Siver pushes Fisher back. Siver is cut around his left eye, and it's bleeding pretty good, possibly from a clash of heads. Fisher's corner is asking if he can smell the blood. Siver pushes him back with a punch combo. He's bleeding all over the place now. Fisher stings him, but doesn't follow up. Fisher is sticking and moving well, trying to avoid exchanges with Siver. There's the trademark spinning back kick from Siver in the final minute, but Fisher avoids it well. MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9 for Fisher.

Round 2: Solid kick from Siver, but Fisher stays on the move. Fisher comes in with a left and gets caught with a nice counter hook from the German. Straight left lands for Fisher, followed by a head kick that Siver blocks most of. Fisher's corner is telling him to get busy, but when he surges forward he eats another hook. Siver catches one of Fisher's body kicks and drops him with a right. Fisher scrambles back up quickly, no worse for wear. Fisher fires off a jab followed by a straight left that lands well and sends sweat flying off Siver's head. A body kick from Siver slams into Fisher's midsection, and the crowd lets out a vicarious 'ooooh.' MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9 for Siver.

Round 3: A kick from Siver catches Fisher in the man parts. At least we're even now. The pace is frantic after the restart, with both guys landing well. Siver throws a head kick that glances off Fisher's face as he backs away, but he's having trouble getting close enough to land with his short arms at times. A head kick from Fisher is mostly blocked, but a straight left gets through. Siver is stalking him now, backing him against the fence and firing off good punch combos. They brawl it out in the center of the cage for a moment, and Siver's cut has reopened. Both men open up with their striking attacks in the final minute. Fisher tries a spinning back elbow, without much luck. Siver shoots for a single-leg, but the horn sounds to end the fight. MMA Fighting scores the round 10-9 for Siver, based primarily on greater aggression. Tough one to call.

Dennis Siver def. Spencer Fisher via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27).
