UFC 114 Live Blog: Amir Sadollah vs. Dong Hyun Kim Updates

LAS VEGAS -- This is the UFC 114 live blog for Amir Sadollah vs. Dong Hyun Kim, a welterweight bout on tonight's Spike TV portion of the UFC 114 card from the MGM Grand Garden Arena.

Sadollah and Kim are both in search of their fourth Octagon win.

Round 1: The two open by exchanging leg kicks. Kim takes Sadollah down and moves into half-guard. Kim looked to be going for an arm triangle but couldn't work his leg free. He changes courses and lands a hard elbow. Sadollah manages to get guard, but Kim lands an overhand right, then a short elbow. Sadollah almost swept Kim, but nope. Kim gets back to half-guard and starts his offense with lefts. Kim looks too big and strong for Sadollah on the ground. Sadollah tries to get up, but Kim puts one hook in and scores with punches from the back. Sadollah tries to shake free, but the round runs out. MMA Fighting scores it for Kim, 10-9.

Round 2: Sadollah looks comfortable on his feet, landing a few kicks, but Kim ducks under one and secures another takedown, moving swiftly to side control. Sadollah breaks free, but Kim smothers him against the cage. Kim lands a knee to the face, then another as they stay against the cage. Kim trips his down again. Kim working diligently to advance his position and Sadollah to work free. Kim traps Sadollah's left arm against his own neck and starts raining down strikes. Very awkward position for Sadollah. Kim moves to full mount with 10 seconds left, lands a few strikes but can't finish before time runs out. MMA Fighting scores the round for Kim, 10-9.

Round 3: Hey, guess what? Kim took him down again in the opening 30 seconds. Kim pushed him up against the cage this time. Sadollah just can't get up or stay up. Three minutes left. Kim stays relentless, trying to improve position, though he's not exactly battering Sadollah from the top. Sadollah finally works his way free and upright with 1:20 left. Next, he stuffs a takedown. Sadollah tries a flying knee, but Kim catches it and crowds him against the cage. Sadollah lands his best strikes of the night with a left/right combo followed by a sharp jab. But it won't be enough. MMA Fighting scores the round for Kim, 10-9.

Winner: Dong Hyun Kim via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
