Moosin Live Blog: Yves Edwards vs. Mike Campbell Round-by-Round Updates

WORCESTER, Mass. -- This is the Moosin live blog for Yves Edwards vs. Mike Campbell, a lightweight bout on tonight's Moosin God of Martial Arts pay-per-view from the DCU Center.

Round 1: The southpaws come out throwing leather. Big left from Campbell, Edwards answers with a headkick. Nice right hook/left uppercut from Edwards as action continues. Campbell pushing forward most of the round. Edwards bulls ahead with 1:30 left with a flurry, Campbell changes levels with a takedown. Edwards gets right back to his feet, but Campbell takes him down again seconds later. Blood running down from Campbell's right eyebrow late in the round. Still, MMA Fighting scores the round for Campbell 10-9.

Round 2: Edwards scores with a head kick. Campbell tries to take him down. Instead, Edwards ends up taking his back. He looks for the rear naked choke. Campbell bides his time and turns into Edwards, ending up on top. He lands a hard left and then lets Edwards up. Seconds later, Edwards takes his back standing and pulls off a belly-to-back suplex that lands with a bang. He ends up on top, but Campbell works free and upright. Edwards asserts himself in the standup. Nice combinations score. Campbell fires back though with a thudding left. Campbell tries a takedown, but Edwards stuff it as the round closes. MMA Fighting scores it for Edwards, 10-9.

Round 3: Back and forth early as they trade. Neither man really able to assert himself as the round nears the midway point and the fight possibly hangs in the balance. Edwards lands a nice combo and goes for a flying knee as Campbell side-steps it. Campbell tries for a takedown but Edwards ends up top. Briefly. Campbell reverses in short order. They move back to standing. Campbell tries another takedown. Edwards ends up powerbombing him to the mat. A scramble on the mat ensues as the round runs out. Very competitive round and fight. MMA Fighting scores it for Edwards, 10-9.
