According to Shine Fights broadcast team member Karyn Bryant's Twitter account, the North Carolina commission was the one that called a stop to the show, hours after the main event was scratched due to a court order.
Shine Fights 3 : Worlds Collide was scheduled to air live on pay-per-view from the Crown Coliseum in Fayetteville, N.C.
The card began falling apart Saturday morning when Florida judge Marc Gold granted an injunction requested by Don King Production to prevent Mayorga from competing on the card. Don King Productions signed Mayorga to an exclusive contract in October 2009 and Shine Fights' position is that Mayorga's contract with Don King Productions is for boxing and Shine Fights is not violating the existing agreement because the Mayorga fight would have been under MMA rules.
Shine Fights has not yet commented on the cancellation.
The matches scheduled for the card were:
Ricardo Mayorga vs. Din Thomas
David Heath vs. Murilo "Ninja" Rua
Eduardo Pamplona vs. Derrick Noble
Braulio Estima vs. Rick Hawn
Alexandre "Cacareco" Ferreira vs. Jamal Patterson
Luiz Azeredo vs. Charles "Krazy Horse" Bennett
Zac George vs. Mario Staple
