
In an interview Monday with MMAFighting.com, Kaufman said that her title win against Takayo Hashi was the last fight on her contract and that she's still in discussions to re-sign with the organization.
However, according to Afromowitz, Kaufman's contract was extended as as result of the Hashi win. Also, Strikeforce plans to have the 24-year-old Canadian fight three more times within the next year.
When asked for comment Thursday, Kaufman provided a "no comment," but fully expects to be fighting under the Strikeforce banner.
Kaufman (11-0) is ranked by MMARising.com as the No. 4 pound-for-pound female fighter in the world. While on the Strikeforce roster, Kaufman has scored wins on Strikeforce Challengers cards over Miesha Tate, Shayna Baszler and Hashi.
