Two More Fights Announced for SRC 13

TOKYO, Japan -- World Victory Road announced Wednesday two more fights for Sengoku Raiden Championship 13 to be held on June 20th at Ryogoku Kokugikan, Japan.

Former light heavyweight King of Pancrase and 2001 ADCC 88kg champion, Sanae Kikuta will return 30lbs lighter after a 18-month layoff to face Swiss prospect Yasubey Enomoto who will be making his promotional debut.

The current light heavyweight King of Pancrase Ryo Kawamura has not won two fights in a row since 2006. Kawamura will try for that elusive second consecutive win when he faces pro wrestler Hidetada Irie.
While the 38 year old's best days are probably past him, Sanae Kikuta has not lost a fight since surrendering his Pancrase strap in 2003. The GRABAKA founder last fought in January 2009 where he decisioned Hidehiko Yoshida. For that fight, Kikuta weighed in at 201lbs, but this time around Kikuta will cut to 170lbs for Sengoku's new Welterweight limit. Even in high school judo competitions, Kikuta competed at around 190lbs.

Facing Kikuta will be 26 year old Yasubey Enomoto. Enomoto comes in with a 3-1 MMA record and holds an IKBO Thai boxing World Title and numerous European grappling titles. While Enomoto is no slouch on the mat, he may need to rely on his striking against one of Japan's most decorated grapplers.

Light heavyweight King of Pancrase Ryo Kawamura started his career 6-0-2 with 4 of those wins coming by KO and was quickly made into the face of the promotion. But since a 2007 KO loss to Fabio Silva, he has alternated between wins and losses and gone 5-5 and struggled against stronger and larger opposition.

Kawamura should have little trouble however against shoot style pro wrestler Hidetada Irie. Irie was a trainee at the Kingdom Pro Wrestling Dojo until the promotion folded in 1998. Kingdom was also the home of Kazushi Sakuraba, Nobuhiko Takada and Daijiro Matsui among other MMA converts although Irie has not faced the same level of competition and begun his career much later.
