
The broadcast is part of the UFC's deal to run 10 preliminary shows prior to UFC pay-per-views this year. After skipping UFC 112 and 113, the preliminary shows will be back for UFC 114 and 115. Spike also broadcasted two live bouts prior to the recent World Extreme Cagefighting pay-per-view.
Danzig, the former Ultimate Fighter winner, is a natural fit for a Spike preliminary bout, as he's well known to Spike viewers both through TUF and through his fight on the preliminary card at UFC 109. Wiman is also a former TUF contestant.
Dunham vs. Griffin represents an excellent test for two of the UFC's top young lightweights. The 28-year-old Dunham is 12-0, but he'll be taking on his toughest opponent yet in the 26-year-old Griffin, who's 14-2.
