Jay Silva will face Bill Albrecht at Bellator 18 on May 13 in Monroe, La., MMAFighting.com's Ariel Helwani has learned.The non-tournament middleweight matchup will serve as the opening bout on the televised card from the Monroe Civic Center.
Silva (5-3) fought twice for the UFC last September and this past January, losing both fights by unanimous decision against CB Dollaway and Chris Leben. Silva, who signed the contract Monday night with Bellator, will fulfill his previously scheduled fight on June 11 at Matrix Fights 2 in Philadelphia.
Albrecht (14-9), a submission fighter on a four-fight win streak, competed last year for Bellator, stopping Mike Messina in the second round.
