The second UFC on Versus card will most likely be held at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif., MMAFighting.com has learned.UFC president Dana White announced after Sunday's UFC on Versus 1 that the return date was Aug. 1 in Oakland, but did not reveal the venue.
According to a source close to the Oracle Arena, while the card has not been made 100% official for the venue, an announcement is expected to be made soon.
The Oracle Arena, formerly the Oakland Coliesum, is home to the NBA's Golden State Warriors. Opened in 1966, the arena has a larger capacity than the Staples Center and the ARCO Arena, California venues which have hosted UFC and WEC events.
A total of two UFC on Versus cards are expected for 2010 as part of Zuffa's multi-year extension with Versus announced last December.
