On Friday's edition of the SiriusXM Fight Club, "The Outlaw" was asked about his thoughts on the calendar, which features a photo of a shirtless GSP wearing jeans on the beach, and not surprisingly, Hardy didn't think too highly of it.
"It's awful; it's really bad," Hardy said. "You know, fair play to the guy for daring to put it out there into the world, he just opened himself up to a lot of criticism. He's lucky that I haven't managed to get my hands on one."
When asked if the calendar will make an appearance on an upcoming episode of UFC Primetime, Hardy replied, "I don't know. I'm hoping so."
Hardy also said he isn't concerned with GSP insisting he's in the best shape of his life going into this fight because he's heard that line used by the welterweight champion one too many times.
"It's the same with all GSP fights: he reads from a script. Every fight he says the same thing: 'Oh, I'm in the best shape of my life,' and, 'It's the best training camp,' whatever. It's the same thing every time. The reality is, nobody knows how he feels apart from him, and I think he's going to be feeling the pressure in this fight because I am a huge underdog and he's supposed to win impressively, but the likelihood is that he's at least going to be in for a war, and he knows that. Obviously, I'm confident that I'm going to be able to put him on the canvas at least a few times before I knock him out.
"I just hope he's not looking past me. You know, there's been talk of him going to the 2012 Olympics and going up to middleweight and all these things, but he's got a huge wall in front of him to get over first and it's not going to be an easy journey for him."
