Joey Beltran to Face Chad Corvin at UFC 113



Joey Beltran
will make his second trip inside the Octagon when he takes on undefeated Chad Corvin at UFC 113 on May 8 in Montreal, the UFC confirmed Thursday.

Beltran (11-3) made his UFC debut at UFC 109 stepping in on a week's notice and stopping Rolles Gracie in the second round. He entered the fight coming off a TKO win against Houston Alexander.

Beltran said after the Gracie fight to expect a short turnaround time for his next fight.

"I'm eager to get out there and I exited this fight with zero damage," Beltran told MMA Fighting. "So I'm right back in the gym already, and just looking to improve and come out and put on a better showing and a little more entertaining fight this time."

Corvin (6-0) will be making his UFC debut after three years of fighting mostly in local shows in Tennessee and Kentucky. He has finished all six of his fights.

UFC 113 is headlined by Lyoto Machida defending his light heavyweight belt in a rematch against Mauricio "Shogun" Rua.
