Round 1: Torres circles. He throws an inside leg kick. They collide on leg kicks. They each miss big kicks. Benavidez with counter punches against a Torres kick. Torres charges in with a leg kick. Benavidez looking for the knockout shot. Nice exchange of punches. Benavidez again counters a kick with a punch and Torres slips to his butt. Torres aggressively buttscoots and stands. They trade knees in clinch, and it's Benavidez who takes down Torres. Torres drives heel kicks in guard, Royce Gracie style. Benavidez controls Torres and attempts a choke. Benavidez, inside of Torres' halfguard, attempts to ground and pound. Torres defends well and escapes to closed guard.
