UFC 110 Results

Cain Velasquez knocked out ex-UFC champ Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira in a surprising night for UFC 110 results.

After years of being praised to the umpth degree by his teammates and trainers, Velasquez proved worthy of the hype Saturday, outboxing the former UFC and PRIDE champion Nogueira and finishing with a first-round knockout. Still undefeated, Velasquez elevated himself to a top five ranking and a potential title shot against Brock Lesnar. Velasquez was the faster of the two heavyweights and kept beating Nogueira to the punch and actively wearing the future Hall of Famer down with leg kicks. Two minutes into the fight, Velasquez dropped Nogueira with a left to the chin followed by a right just above Nogueira's right ear. Velasquez landed five unanswered punches and won at the official time of two minutes and 20 seconds.

In the co-main event, Wanderlei Silva earned a much-needed win against Michael Bisping. Silva hunted down Bisping through three rounds for the unanimous decision nod. In a back-and-forth fight, Silva sealed the deal in the final seconds of the fight by collapsing Bisping with a right hand.

George Sotiropoulos won the biggest fight of career, dominating Joe Stevenson through three rounds for the unanimous decision. Stevenson, known for his exceptional grappling, was no match for Sotiropoulos, who thoroughly controlled the TUF 2 winner on the floor as well as on the feet.

Ryan Bader didn't need to outwrestle Keith Jardine to grind out a win. Bader gained victory with a knockout in the third round. Bader stunned Jardine with a right hook, threw a flying knee to the body and then nailed a left hook to render Jardine unconscious.

While it didn't end in highlight reel fashion, Mirko Cro Cop safely defeated Anthony Perosh in a one-sided battle on the pay-per-view opener. By the second round, Cro Cop entertained Perosh by entering his guard. All it took was a left elbow to open a nasty cut on Perosh's forehead. The fight would be called after two rounds by the doctor.
