'Armbar Kim' to Fight Maxi Blanco at Sengoku 12

Chang-Hyun Kim, billed as "Armbar Kim," has been named as the opponent for King of Pancrase lightweight champion Maxi Blanco at Sengoku 12 on March 7 in Tokyo, Japan.

Kim (15-5) comes from a judo background and has submitted 10 opponents with armbars. Kim will be making his Sengoku debut and has more to gain in this duel between two young prospects in the Japanese MMA scene. The 24-year-old fought in Korea from 2004 and 2007 and then missed over two years of action until last September when he strung together three wins in HEAT and King of the Cage events.

Blanco (4-2-1) became more than just hype supported by World Victory Road when he stopped Katsuya Inoue last August to become the third Lightweight King of Pancrase. Blanco followed the title win with another TKO victory the next month at Sengoku 10.

In the main event of Sengoku 12, Jorge Santiago defends his middleweight title against Mamed Khalidov.
