'TUF 9' Alum Alex Reid Wins 'Celebrity Big Brother'

Alex Reid may have flunked out of The Ultimate Fighter 9 before even landing a spot in the house, but he gave reality television another try and has won the Celebrity Big Brother show in the UK.

After getting his face in the tabloids in the UK for dating a model and then dumped by her on live television, Reid put his fight career on hold to become a cast member on Celebrity Big Brother and on Friday, became the champ with a public vote of 65%.

Big Brother and the celebrity edition of the show center around housemates attempting to avoid eviction determined by public vote. The American version of the show will enter its twelfth season this summer.

Reid (8-8-1) fought nine times for the Cage Rage promotion in the UK including fights against Murilo "Ninja" Rua, Xavier Foupa-Pokam, Tony Fryklund, Dave Menne and Jorge Rivera. Known more for his antics than fighting abilities, he has not competed professionally since September 2007 and is on a six-fight losing streak.

He was given a chance to resurrect his MMA career in 2009 when his shenanigans allowed for him to fight on TUF 9. He would lose his spot in the house to Dean Amasinger in the elimination round.
