Dave "Pee Wee" Herman has signed with Shine Fights, the promotion has announced.
Herman will join recent signees Din Thomas, Jeff Monson and boxing veteran Ricardo Mayorga as possible participants for the promotion's third event happening sometime in the Spring.
Herman (16-1) has fought for EliteXC, Bellator and most recently for Sengoku in Japan. All 16 of his wins have been finishes with 15 ending in the first round. Last year, he suffered his first career loss in his Sengoku debut against Choi Mu Bae, but bounced back with wins against Josh Barnes, Don Frye and "Big" Jim York.
Herman won in spectacular fashion in November when he knocked out York with heel kicks in defense against an ankle lock.
A middleweight bout between Murilo "Ninja' Rua and Falaniko Vitale is the only currently confirmed matchup for the Shine 3 event.
Shine began last May as a small show in Columbus Ohio and in September, its operations moved to Miami, Fla. for a more notable card with an "American Top Team vs. The World" theme.
