Despite the fact that Matt Serra hasn't won a fight since defeating Georges St-Pierre for the welterweight title in April 2007, he is clearly still loving life as a mixed martial artist. The 35-year-old former champion is getting ready to face Frank Trigg at UFC 109 on Feb. 6, and when MMA Fighting recently caught up with him to talk about the bout, the interview turned into a marathon session, which covered a whole host of subjects.
In the end, Serra answered many questions: why Trigg rubs him the wrong way, why he still thinks he deserved to win his most recent fight against Matt Hughes and why he still loves to fight. Serra's mentor, UFC rookie Renzo Gracie, also made multiple cameos throughout the interview as well. Check out the video below.
